Al-Falah Islamic Centre Isiolo was established in 1972 to cater for Islamic education needs for the Muslim Community residing in the then Isiolo district. The center consists of Al-Falah Primary school, Al-Falah Madrassa, Al-Falah Children’s Home and Al-Falah Mosque Isiolo. Initially Al-Falah Centre provided purely Madrassa education and Tahfeez -ul-Quran Kareem. The three institutions operate in a symbiotic manner to provide homely care, basic secular education and basic Islamic knowledge to about 200 boys and girls. Al Falah Primary School also offers access to other children from the community so as to create an integrative environment for the OVC’s.
The ongoing construction of a double storey multipurpose hall at the Al-Falah Islamic Centre in Isiolo, donated by the family of a wellwisher, marks a significant milestone in the Foundation’s commitment to building infrastructure to serve the growing needs of the Community. During a recent visit, IFK Executive Committee members and the CEO reviewed progress of the development accompanied by members of the donor family. The delegation expressed satisfaction with the progress seen, noting that the project was rapidly heading to completion. Once completed, the facility will serve as a centre for worship, education, and community engagement.
The project will be an extension for Jamia Masjid accommodating Mussalis during Friday prayers and at other times in need. It will also double as a venue for the hosting of educational programmes, community meetings, weddings, seminars, and other social activities conducted on Halal basis. IFK expresses gratitude at the generosity of the donor family. May Allah give them Jaza-e-Khair and grant Marhum Barsalinga a high place in Jannah.
The sinking of a borehole at the Al-Falah Islamic Centre is a transformative initiative aimed at providing a reliable and sustainable source of clean water for the Institution, Masjid and the surrounding community. The borehole, which is producing fresh water, will support the daily water needs of the Masjid, school, and neighbouring households, while promoting better hygiene, sanitation, and overall well-being. It will reduce dependence on unreliable water sources, ensuring uninterrupted access to safe water throughout the year.
This Sadaqah Jariyah project has been very generously funded by Ms. Sherbano Hashmi in memory of Shamim Alibhai, Suleman Hashmy, Bashir Hashmy and Mariam Alimohamed.
We pray that Allah SWT rewards them abundantly for this selfless contribution.
The new Ghusl Facility at Al Falah Centre Isiolo, which has been donated by a lady well-wisher, will provide a dignified and dedicated space for the Islamic washing and preparation of deceased Muslims before burial. Designed in line with Islamic teachings, the facility will enable families to perform this important religious obligation in a clean, respectful, and well-equipped facility. Together with the expanding mosque infrastructure, the facility will provide an essential service to the community and ensure that final religious rites are carried out with dignity and ease. May Allah bless the donor and reward her for her generosity.
