The Collage was established in 1995. In November 2022 the last batch of students sat for their final exams and the college operations officially suspended until further notice due to lack of a sponsor. Receipt of certification from the examining body, Sudan International University is still pending for students who have completed their studies.

Discussions are at an advanced stage towards reopening of the college scheduled for mid-2024 with several models under review including affiliation and partnership with various institutions including Islamic University in Uganda IUIU and Ummah University.
