About Us

Islamic Foundation Kenya is one of the oldest Islamic charitable organizations in Kenya. Operating under the mantra “service to humanity” Our work is guided by Islam, with focus on authentic teachings, access to knowledge and education (based on our initial objective of printing and distribution of the Qur’an and Islamic literature and our current objective of operating and support to educational institutions) and helping those in need, regardless of their background. With a deep commitment to social justice and community development, we strive to create positive and lasting change in the lives of the less fortunate. With the growing needs of the Muslim community in Kenya especially in the rural areas, the organization established several Masaajid in rural Kenya and educational centers for orphans, poor and vulnerable children in the local communities. The centers provide all round education and have become hallmarks of the communities they serve.

Islamic Foundation Kenya is dedicated to serving humanity by presenting authentic teachings of Islam to families, community, country and the world. Our thrust being that knowledge is the basis of practice of Islam and the foundation to a better life. We employ the principles of Islamic compassion and generosity as we engage in charity, empowerment, social advocacy and Da’wah work in Kenya. We promote education as foundation to communities with the belief that knowledge will translate to solutions for their day to day challenges thus alleviate suffering and empower themselves through sustainable socio-economic solutions.

A resourceful organization with capacity to engage in Education, Da’wah, Islamic scholarship and Charity to communities as well as social advocacy to exemplify the teachings and way of life of Islam.
